About Mike + Deb
Deb is a freelance designer (Cococello :: Design) who has worked for Virtuoso Life, National Geographic Traveler, the Chicago Tribune, the Toronto Globe and Mail and other publications. She is making the transition into web design, writing, teaching and at every opportunity, takes a break from ones and zeros for letterpress projects.
Mike is a picture editor and photographer. He has picture edited for the White House Photo Office, Copley Northern Illinois, National Geographic, The Albuquerque Tribune and was design director at the Detroit Free Press.

Hello!
I just wanted to take a minute to say “thank you” for your site. I am a full time Rescue Swimmer for the Coast Gaurd in Astoria, and I shoot and write part-time for the Daily Astorian. It is my goal to pursue photography full time one day and sites like yours consistently give me useful knowledge, people to learn from, and inspiration to create. Living in a small coastal town makes it difficult at best to learn through traditional acedemic methods.
