What is Raw Take?
RAW TAKE is a work in progress and the ideas behind RAW TAKE are still being fleshed out. While we could have waited to go live, we decided with encouragement and support from friends and colleagues to make our presence known.

So while we hash out the details, we thought we would begin by sharing our conversations with photographers. While our specialty is in editorial, we hope to talk pictures with a wide range of image makers, image movers and image shakers around the world.

Some ideas we have in the works:

  • Interviews with photographers, picture editors, and other photography movers & shakers.
  • What makes this image a [superlative goes here] photograph?
  • Ask us a question, we’ll try and answer it.
  • Guest writers – photo gallery directors, owners, consultants, lawyers, and others.

We hope RAW TAKE will become an approachable, educational resource for everyone who loves and enjoys photography.

Raw Take is not
a magazine; nor is it a gallery. Why not? Because there are plenty of of them.

Without you, we wouldn’t have an audience and we would love to know you. We welcome comments great and small. Feel free to offer a suggestion.
